Brendan Campbell, Operations Director
Brendan Campbell joined The Tanfield Group in 2001 and has taken the company to new levels of manufacturing excellence ever since.
Brendan is responsible for overall Production on all of Tanfield’s facilities, including overseeing Design; Purchasing & Logistics; Production Planning; Health & Safety; Quality; and Engineering.
During 2006, he built a strong management team, which successfully transferred the entire assembly operations of UpRight Powered Access from Dublin in Ireland to Tanfield’s UK headquarters, Vigo Centre.
Brendan not only delivered this incredibly challenging project to deadline, but quadrupled output at the same time, while simultaneously improving machine build quality, re-launching dormant products and re-introducing manufacture of UpRight products in the USA.
Prior to joining The Tanfield Group, Brendan spent eight years at Viasystems Ltd. He became Manufacturing Director at the company's South Tyneside printed circuit board manufacturing site, where he was responsible for 1,500 people and his site achieved a turnover of £140 million.
